For over 20 years, I have been writing or editing professionally and as a volunteer. Starting in 2000, I made the choice to stay home and start a family putting my love of words to work.

 

With a BFA from the University of Arizona, my professional background includes being an editor for fiction novels, a corporate trainer for a major airline, a marketing director for a large multi-location travel agency, and sales for a Fortune 200 company. I also volunteer my time and talents as a writer and editor developing web content, brochures, newsletters, and flyers for various non-profit groups.

 

I am a member of Editorial Freelancers Association (EFA), American Copy Editors Association (ACES) and Romance Writers of America (RWA). As a believer in lifelong learning, my continuing education includes a Certificate in Editing through ACES and Developmental Editing through EFA.

When I am not working, I volunteer as a writing coach for students, mentor parents with special needs children, and am active in my local school district. You may also find me curled up with a good book, listening to music, hiking in a National Park, or visiting a museum.
